Thank you everyone... since yesterday the thought that has remained powerfully with me is the description of the throne, used twice for emphasis, in the last chapter of the book of Revelation, 'The throne of God and of the Lamb' (Rev 22:1, 3). It's amazing to me that the Bible closes with that reminder.
The Lamb is Jesus, the One who was sacrificed to 'take away the sin of the world (John 1:29).
And the thought is this... at the heart of the throne of God is a Redeemer.
WOW.

Great to be reminded of our true position in Christ - summed up so succinctly in the opening paragraph.
The verses from Hebrews 4:15-16 have always been among my favourites! I find myself often thanking God for a high priest who is able to 'sympathise with my weakness' and that I can approach the throne of grace with confidence because of Jesus. (Especially when I've had an 'off' day!) Mercy and grace flow from God's throne - it's a

Very profound Helen, for those who don't know that we have access to the throne room, this article gives scriptural reference and a positive encouragement to head right in there....love your passion for intimacy.

Well what a powerful piece. I find it both encouraging and humbling to read about the access that we now have to God's throne through Christ.
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ" Eph 2:13
